More flexibility in the room

Zumtobel’s FREELINE direct/indirect luminaire, which is characterised by high functionality and neutral design, was developed in collaboration with Ingenhoven & Partner Architects.

FREELINE direct/indirect luminaire
back to overview

Due to its minimised volume and clear lines, the luminaire FREELINE blends inconspicuously with modern and professional office areas. The restrained and consistent design of FREELINE makes sure that the luminaire system is perceived as part of the architecture. The unobtrusive character of the design is emphasized by the materials used: the surface made of anodised aluminium is a design reference to the standard surface of façade, partition and furniture elements.

The lighting technology used in FREELINE is impressive, too: The sophisticated combination of louvre luminaire and MPO (micro-pyramidal optic) technology available in the range provides for an enormous variety of applications and at the same time perfect glare control of office workstations according to the EN 12464 standard. The FREELINE concept has a special focus on illuminating workstations. The luminaires are arranged at right angles to the windows, along or between the room axes, while the high lighting quality at the workplaces remains in conformity with the relevant standards. This allows even partition walls to be moved with reduced effort – an essential argument when it comes to high-quality office architecture and investment buildings with continuously changing requirements.

Together with the Luxmate lighting control systems, FREELINE presents itself as an ideal overall solution for the professional illumination of TASK AREAS. According to application and requirements, FREELINE is available with a variety of lighting management solution levels and packages, offering investors e.g. the option of dimming on demand. This allows to respond quickly and easily to changes in room layouts or office structures and to different demands of the tenants.
