ONLITE emergency lighting
back to overview

With escape sign and emergency luminaires, the focus is on unobtrusive and functional integration into the architecture. What is typical of all ONLITE emergency power sources is their easy installation and commissioning as well as the optimisation of investment and operating costs.

Universal competence from a single supplier
ONLITE by ZUMTOBEL provides complete integration of emergency lighting into the general lighting system. For the customer this means that there is only one point of contact: general lighting and emergency lighting form a single unit, providing the full range of functions of both systems. Almost every luminaire by Zumtobel can be ordered as pre-wired emergency luminaire. Irrespective of the type of emergency power source used, all luminaires can be individually controlled and monitored via DALI.

Cost optimisation
Considering the service life of an emergency lighting system, operating costs by far exceed investment costs.  Especially the checking of luminaires, as required by law, is very expensive. That is why ONLITE relies on central monitoring of all escape sign and emergency luminaires, ensuring increased safety and a reduction in costs.

The ONLITE range includes a large variety of escape sign and emergency luminaires, which can be supplied via numerous different emergency power installations. The consistent system concept ensures a perfect solution for any type of building.

ONLITE look
The system comprises a variety of escape sign and emergency luminaires, which all meet the highest technical lighting requirements while strictly complying with all relevant standards. Easy installation and low maintenance effort are other typical features of ONLITE luminaires. Formal reduction in order to put the architecture to the fore, and optimised use of materials ensure harmony between look and functionality.

ONLITE local
The heart of the emergency lighting system is the SB 128 Controller, which is linked via DALI to all luminaires with separate battery supply. Using freely programmable test cycles, a fully automatic test log book and various signalling devices, the Controller assumes overall emergency lighting responsibility. All the luminaires can be configured individually. By switching from maintained to non-maintained mode outside operating hours, additional energy can be saved and the lamp service life extended. Upon request, the Controller will even send fault messages, e.g. battery faults, to a mobile phone by SMS. Thanks to fully automatic monitoring of luminaires, operating costs for emergency lighting are reduced to a minimum.

ONLITE central
In terms of safety, flexibility and functionality, group and central battery installations meet the highest requirements made on emergency lighting. All emergency and escape sign luminaires connected can be individually controlled and monitored. A dimming level can be set for each luminaire, both in mains and emergency mode. A link via DALI to the lighting management system ensures that the general lighting system’s full functionality is maintained.
