People who expect more from light management know that such systems must offer more than just lighting control. LUXMATE PROFESSIONAL offers much more than just lighting management. Thanks to its modular design, it can be adapted to suit facilities of any size. With its advanced installation technology, the light and facility management system is well equipped to handle both daily tasks and complex applications in connection with other subsystems.

LUXMATE PROFESSIONAL controls not only the light and the blinds, but also the room climate and temperature. The system is equipped with interfaces to AV systems, building services management for facility monitoring and load management.

The LUXMATE sensor mounted on the roof of the building determines how the natural and artificial light in the room are controlled. The photo cells record the actual sky conditions and direction of the sunlight and transmit this data to the "brain" of the LUXMATE PROFESSIONAL system, the LUXMATE automation processor. By taking in all the above factors, the automation processor provides optimised and glare-free and continuously adjustable light in all controlled rooms. It thereby ensures that natural daylight is used to its optimum, and that artificial light from Zumtobel luminaires is added where needed. In addition to the central daylight-dependent control, each worker has the option to adjust the lighting at his or her workplace to suit his or her current activity, using a control panel that can be called up at the PC workstation. By controlling the light based on a time management (automatic switching on and off times for luminaires) and installing presence sensors, you can reduce the energy consumption by up to 70%.

Equally impressive is the wide range of available operating options. LUXMATE PROFESSIONAL caters for standard momentary action light switches, Circle control points, comfort control devices, touch screen panels, infrared remote control devices or software-based control panels on PCs. All these control options have of course been designed with user-friendliness in mind. 

LUXMATE PROFESSIONAL is an open integrative light management system that can be networked without any difficulties across different subsystems in a building. LUXMATE PROFESSIONAL is available with interfaces catering for building services management system by Siemens, Johnson Controls, Andover Controls, LON, EIB, BACnet, OPC, etc.

Each luminaire in the building is part of its technical infrastructure, and lighting systems must fulfil a number of requirements as regards operational safety. LUXMATE PROFESSIONAL therefore automatically keeps the central building services management system informed on defective system components, lamps, burn hours and the current blind positions.

In complex large-scale facilities, specially trained technicians of Zumtobel who regularly take part in further training courses cater for the smooth commissioning of the control system. On request, Zumtobel provides a range of additional services over the entire lifespan of the facility.
