Higher energy efficiency for
non-residential buildings |

The European Commission's programme for improving the energy efficiency of non-residential buildings came into being in early 2005. The project aims to improve the energy efficiency of non-residential buildings, especially existing buildings. |

Organisations and companies that participate on a voluntary basis are given assistance with regard to analysis of energy consumption and designing and implementing optimisation measures. Several pilot projects are due to be refurbished as model buildings over the next two years; they will be put on show as part of GREENBUILDING as examples of best-practice projects.
