Zumtobel has launched a blog series together with DAMn magazine in which inspiring light artists are portrayed each month. Such artists include: Daan Roosegaarde, Jung Lee and Luftwerk.

In 2020, one of the largest national museums in the world will open its doors: the National Museum of Art, Architecture & Design in Oslo at 54,600 square metres. The winners Ben van Berkel (UNStudio, Netherlands), Michael Maltzan (USA), Arturo Vittori (Italy) and Zhang Li (China) were there to personally receive the award.

The secret of its success: a consistently clear design with regard to lines and forms, which is exactly what is needed to be expressed in the five new European VIU flagship stores. Thanks to high-quality, puristic luminaires, Zumtobel’s lighting solution integrates perfectly into the sophisticated architecture, makes the spaces appear brighter and more spacious, creates a homogeneous lighting of the presentation shelves and presents each model to the customer equally.

We share with you the most important findings from two studies carried out by Zumtobel in collaboration with the Fraunhofer Institute for Industrial Engineering IAO and Gruppe Nymphenburg. Rich and varied art in unique architecture: in cooperation with the internationally renowned architecture group GRAFT, Zumtobel has designed an individualised lighting concept for the recently opened exhibition rooms and courtyard of the modularly conceived URBAN NATION Museum for Urban Contemporary Art.

As a significant historical monument, Wartburg Castle in Thuringia is, with 350,000 annual visitors, one of the most popular Lutheran sites in the world and an UNESCO world heritage site. As part of the Reformation Jubilee 2017, the multifunctional LED lighting system SUPERSYSTEM II by Zumtobel will present the castle’s rooms as well as its 300 exhibits in a whole new light!
