Design

ARCOS presents itself in a minimalist design with clear forms and contours: a purist cylindrical unit, combined with an unobtrusive insert for the control gear. The overall appearance is made complete by the new adapter’s minimalist design, which consistently continues right up to the track. Nothing should distract people's attention from the exhibits displayed - on the contrary: architecture and light are supposed to enhance the effect they create. For that purpose, four different sized ARCOS spotlight models that feature advanced lighting technology and come with a wide variety of accessories are available. What they all have in common is their unobtrusive effect and consequently the uncluttered look on the ceiling. Every detail of ARCOS reflects many years of experience in exhibition and museum architecture.

A high-precision lighting tool

What is especially important in museums and exhibitions is glare-free lighting. First of all, the spotlight design boasts a built-in anti-glare panel. If required, a cruciform louvre attachment or the lamp tube – a black metal ring integrated into the reflector, which prevents a direct view of the lamp – protects against irritating insights into the luminaire. What ever the lighting task may be, you will find the right solution with ARCOS: just look at the comprehensive range of optics for a wide variety of light bundling and modulations.

How can an exhibit's message or shape be presented to optimum effect? Frequently, the effect created depends on extremely subtle nuances of materials and colour shades. In this context, ARCOS offers a wide range of possibilities to perform any type of lighting task perfectly, in just a few steps. A total of three different attachment rings are available, including a wallwasher attachment. The rotating accessory holder is integrated in both the short and long attachment ring. This holder can easily be removed and equipped with up to three different filters or lenses. The automatic locking device and the coding of the lens ensure that the accessories used will stay in their exact position, even after replacement of a lamp or reflector. In this way, the lighting stage is set easily and completely intuitively – ARCOS effortlessly implements the user's creative ideas.
